Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, sliced
  • 8 oz egg noodles Can be substituted with whole wheat or gluten-free noodles.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tbsp honey Can be replaced with hoisin sauce for a different flavor.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes Adjust according to spice preference.
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain them and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the skillet, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture over the cooked chicken.
  • Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet. Toss all ingredients together until well mixed and heated through, ensuring the sauce coats everything.
  • Serve the dish garnished with chopped green onions.
