Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings Use fresh or thawed from frozen
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use low-sodium if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon honey Can substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss to ensure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  • Arrange the wings evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings for 30-40 minutes, flipping them halfway through to achieve an even crispiness. They should be cooked through and golden brown when finished.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and top with sliced green onions for garnish.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, pat wings dry before marinating. You can also grill these wings for a smoky flavor.
