Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can be replaced with a dairy-free alternative.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Can be substituted with olive oil for a lighter option.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional, for serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then generously coat them with grated Parmesan cheese.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in the lemon juice, stirring well to combine.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until they achieve a lovely golden brown.
  • Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over it.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Before serving, garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Pair with steamed vegetables or a salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
