Ingredients

For the salad

  • 1 lb Steak (flank or ribeye) Choose your favorite cut for optimal flavor.
  • 2 ears Fresh corn Alternatively, frozen corn can be used.
  • 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese Crumbled.
  • 4 cups Mixed greens A variety of greens adds texture.
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic glaze A sweet and tangy finish.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For seasoning the steak.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper for seasoning, then place it on the grill.
  • Grill the steak to your desired doneness, approximately 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  • As the steak cooks, place the corn directly on the grill. Roast until it's beautifully charred, turning occasionally.
  • Once the steak is done, allow it to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the mixed greens, sliced steak, roasted corn, and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese.
  • Drizzle the salad with balsamic glaze and toss everything together gently to combine.
  • Serve immediately for the best flavor and freshness.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the steak in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and herbs a few hours before grilling. You can substitute steak with grilled chicken or portobello mushrooms for a vegetarian option. Keep the balsamic glaze on the side if storing leftovers to prevent greens from wilting.
