Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Can use frozen chicken; just extend cooking time.
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix For flavoring.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Provides creamy texture.
  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season to your preference.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish Optional for serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker and sprinkle the Italian dressing mix evenly on top.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup with the sour cream until well combined, then pour this creamy mixture over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, allowing the chicken to become tender and infused with flavor.
  • About 30 minutes before you're ready to eat, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, shred it directly in the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce to coat thoroughly.
  • Serve the creamy chicken mixture over the cooked angel hair pasta and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, warm gently on the stove or microwave. For a thicker sauce, leave the lid slightly ajar in the last hour of cooking.
